Located in the design district of Nolita, the store is an eclectic mix of modern design and an artistic, handmade approach that reflects the brand and the merchandise.
The interior is both architectural and organic. The concrete flooring was stained and the existing brick wall painted white to give the narrow space a sense of openness and reflectivity. New plaster walls are hand troweled by a local artist in a deep blue gradient pattern of light to a dark hues, and glass display cases float within the space.
An integral part of the Claypot’s design is the custom fixtures, which VERDEGO designed and had fabricated locally in NYC. Custom display cases and the cash wrap have oak and metal details as well as hand hammered copper edging. In the ring room sits custom designed glass and oak cabinets, which elegantly display the work of artisan jewelers. In the back of the store a wood slat wall, detailed with copper piping and a custom lounge area for customers and events.
