Public Goods is building a destination for consumers who care about their impact. We’re looking for kind, mission-driven people who want to work with high-performing and highly collaborative teams — people who want to make a visible impact on the company and, ultimately, the world. We’re growing fast and have investors who’ve backed category-defining businesses such as Peloton, Kickstarter, and Etsy.
Sustainability is a huge deal for us. Our environmental initiatives run deep and go beyond our successful tree-planting program. We donate to food banks, partner with leaders in the fight against deforestation and hunger, design products with smaller carbon footprints, and carbon offset 100% of orders.
The Public Goods is looking for a seasoned UX/UI Designer to help design the evolution of our digital portfolio to a best-in-class e-commerce experience. In this role you have an opportunity to work in the D2C e-commerce, B2B, and sustainability spaces as you create innovative experiences.
You will think deeply and strategically, execute high-quality design work, and have the opportunity to create an impact on the product. E-commerce is an essential part of our business and you will drive the product’s design and approach on features and services. Apply a high level of craft and attention to detail to ensure final designs deliver on intended experience and function.
Partner closely with developers on a day-to-day basis to build designs.
Partner with writers to ensure all UI copy meets brand standards.
Work at both a detailed design level and a strategic level to influence the product roadmap.
Balance advocating for the user in projects with protecting the brand’s aesthetic.
What you’ll bring:
A portfolio full of beautiful product design, with a focus on websites and e-commerce.
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end user experience processes and workflows, including user journeys, task analysis, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and evaluative research methods.
A high level of visual design craftsmanship with a disciplined understanding of typography, iconography and layout.
Exceptional use of design artifacts to effectively build alignment, communicate ideas, and deliver an experience.
Experience delivering consumer facing design projects, with requirements from a variety of stakeholders.
Strong understanding of interaction patterns, accessibility, and best practices for user interface design.
Who you are:
You love solving problems, it makes you feel alive.
