Position: Senior Experience Design Specialist

Senior UX Design Specialist
Responsibilities:
Plans and leads (virtual) workshops, including the creation of time-boxed agendas, customized templates, and artifacts needed for activities, presentation deck.
Consult with stakeholders and business leaders to ensure that workshops align with business goals.
Socializes and presents insights, strategy, and recommendations; displays strong thought leadership.
Mentor and educate partners on human-centered design and how to leverage it to meet business objectives.
Synthesize multiple types of research ranging from customer research, competitive & comparative landscape, quantitative data, SME, and stakeholder interviews.
Utilize various research methods, including experience mapping, wants/needs analysis, customer jobs-to-be-done, gallery-walk insight crafting, 2×2 mapping, POV mad-libs, customer scenarios, and personas.
Facilitates the human-centered design process and methods for omni-channel experience design projects and programs in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
Works with highly ambiguous challenges, often at the beginning of initiatives, before decisions have been made on what experience is being built or created.
Gauges customer desirability of concepts and experiences in collaboration with market research partners.
Leverages qualitative and quantitative learnings to evolve concepts or pivot in a new direction.
Creates human-centered design deliverables and artifacts. Deliverables may include experience maps, insight frameworks, experience design strategy, design criteria, napkin pitches, assumptions test plans, value-prop statements.
Participates in design team events, critiques, and meetings. Stay up-to-date on design systems, brand guidelines, and team standards.
Works both divergently and convergently to co-create and refine ideas and concepts.
Practice divergent brainstorming, combinatorial play, stoking, napkin pitch development, value-prop definition, experience mapping, and storyboarding to help build new designs and concepts.
Senior UX Design Specialist
Qualifications:
Strong familiarity with Miro, PowerPoint, Sketch/Adobe XD/Invision
4-year degree in design/related field or additional years of work experience.
7 years of work experience in solving a wide range of business problems through user design.
Experience in rapid prototyping is ideal but not necessary due to team collaboration.
Works collaboratively with team members.
