What we are looking for:
A talented and highly organized Senior Design Program Manager to join our new Design Operations team. Design Operations applies design thinking techniques to the way our teams operate and will drive cross-functional programs that enable the Design, Design Systems, and UX Research team to produce world-class work. The Senior Design Program Manager will guide high complexity projects through the design life cycle, anticipating challenges and mitigating risk to get work delivered on time.

Responsibilities of the role:
Serve as the central point of contact, within design programs, to partners across Product, Engineering, Content, and Brand
Advocate for the end user, ensure research and design systems are part of the design and product development process
Partner with Design Ops leadership to experiment with, examine, and measure improvements to our operational model and processes, evaluating and onboarding tools that will help the Design team work more efficiently
Work with designers from different specialties, backgrounds, and skills to execute on high-visibility cross-functional projects Support design program related user research studies with participant recruitment and logistics
Enable and up-level research studies conducted by non-researchers
Create and maintain design team rituals including design feedback sessions, weekly planning meetings, retrospectives, and more
Track and communicate progress across your projects, ensuring the teams are on track, facilitating decision-making, resolving blockers and surfacing challenges.
Help drive context and visibility across the team, helping to break down internal silos.
Always be acutely aware of the team’s needs and provide feedback to our design leads in order to ensure all designers experience an enjoyable and balanced work environment.
Enable continuous improvement during the projects, ensuring insights are captured, shared, and integrated.
Requirements:
6+ years in design project or program management within a product design/UX org Strong communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders such as legal, finance, IT, and marketing
Highly organized and able to manage multiple programs within a portfolio
Experience with creating new and improving existing processes, and ability to identify where process improvement is needed
Ardent advocate for end users and their needs
